Holy Apostles Vestry

The Vestry of an Episcopal parish is the governing body for business and religious affairs at the parish level. At Holy Apostles, vestry members are elected from a slate provided to the parish at large during the annual meeting in October. They enter into their term early the next year, and serve for staggered terms, meeting monthly. The parish rector is a member of the vestry ex officio, serving as representative of the Bishop of the Diocese of Alabama in spiritual matters. All decisions made by the vestry must be in accordance with the Canons of the Diocese of Alabama and of the Episcopal Church.
