EYC, or Episcopal Youth Community, is the usual name given to youth groups in Episcopal Churches of the United States. Most EYC groups and activities are formed within the church parish; however, there may also be activities organized at the diocesan level.
“In the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama, youth are not only the future of the Church, youth are the Church of today! Through work projects, retreats, and conventions, youth in grades 6th-12th graders are experiencing youth ministry. In their hometowns, throughout the state, and even in other countries, young people are carrying out the work of the Church, living in Christian community, and enjoying the fellowship that is a defining component of effective youth ministry.” -Diocese of Alabama
Our goal is to bring our youth together so that they develop lifelong friendships within their church family as they learn about and practice their Christian faith. Our EYC meets every week on Sunday nights. Members of Holy Apostles can support our EYC by volunteering in numerous ways.
